Caves: A Fragile Wilderness

The Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History, in partnership with the NSS, developed Caves: A Fragile Wilderness in 2001 to complement its presentation of the IMAX film, Journey into Amazing Caves. The exhibit consists of 39 outstanding photographs by NSS members plus several educational text panels -- one of which features the Society. To teach others about the value of caves, the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibit Service (SITES) arranged for Caves to travel to 20 locations across the country over five years, beginning in November 2002. The venue schedule is available on the SITES web site

If Caves comes to your area, be sure to see this superb exhibition.
