The
Section meets annually at each NSS convention. At each meeting,
a simple majority of those members present elect or reelect
the Section's two elected officers: the Executive Secretary
and the Treasurer.
The Executive Secretary runs the annual meetings,
organizes the NSS Convention Geology and Geography oral and
poster sessions, organizes and promotes Section activities,
provides an annual report on Section activities to the NSS,
and takes care of the daily communications and requests for
information about the Section.
The Treasurer collects Section dues, invests
Section funds and looks for best future investment options,
maintains the
membership list, prints address labels for
GEO2, and disburses funds for Section expenses.

In
addition to the elected officers, the Section has
two officers appointed by the Executive Secretary
and Treasurer. These officers are editors of GEO2
and this web page.
The Editor
of GEO2 collects and coordinates the publication
of material, and solicits material as needed, and
sees to the printing ofthe issues.
The
Web Page Editor designs the web page, and maintains
and updates it as needed.
