Most grottos and organizations under the NRO keep valuable records and archive publications. These can be meeting minutes, newsletters, trip reports, maps, cave desciptions, etc. Exchange programs even exist to swap material from neighboring region's grottos in the event members desire to travel to those areas or simply read about far off destinations. All of these holdings are one of caving's richest assets. It's our history.
