The Northeastern Caver 25 Year Cumulative Index, 1969-1993
Rev.0: 12/29/93
Rev.1: 6/20/99
An "S" after the page number indicates that the article appears in the SpeleoDigest for the year of publication. (The following SpeleoDigests had not been published as of the time this index was revised: 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992,) An asterisk after an author's name (in the articles index) indicates a submitter, to distinguish them from original authors of historic or newspaper reprints. Cover photos are listed in chronological order rather than alphabetically, since there are no "official" titles for most of them.
The caves index is in alphabetical order by state, then by county (for New York only), then by cave name. Foreign countries are alphabetized separately. Cave names are followed by volume and page numbers, and by codes after each page number that describe the type of cave information that the page reference contains:
a - accident, rescue
b - biology
c - conservation and related topics
d - description
g - geological/ hydrological
h - history
i - illustration (drawing, woodcut)
m - map
o - access, gating, ownership, and related
p - photograph
r - report or rumor
x - location
The index does not include issue numbers, only volumes and page numbers. The table below shows the first page numbers of each issue in all volumes. In some volumes, certain issues were given a double issue number. For instance, volume 5 number 6 & 7 was a single issue. These are shown on the table as the first page number surrounded by dashes, and placed between the issue number columns, for instance "-67-".
