Treasurers Report
- Grotto owes WV Caver $31.00 for Volumes 2 and 3
- Current account: $748.89
New Business:
- Grotto Website for WVU Chapter
§ Provides important information
· Appropriate clothing/gear
· Tips
· White-Nose Syndrome among bats
- Tentative Fall 2012 schedule will be sent out via list serv
- Membership dues: $15
o Will give you access to trips and use of grotto gear
o Subscription to WV Caver
o Give money to treasurer, Brady
- Important Dates:
o Introduction trip this Sunday (8/26) at Beaverhole Cave, Located in Coopers Rock State Forest
§ Meet at 11:00 A.M.
§ Meet at Lot 7 (across from Brooks on the other side of Beechurst Ave.)
§ Helmets and Headlamps will be supplied
§ Need a ride?

o Beginners weekend 9/8 and 9/9
§ Will be staying at Stuart Recreation Area, located outside of Elkins
§ Leaving Friday night, Returning Sunday
§ Cost: $20, $15 of that goes towards membership dues
o First Vertical Practice Monday, 8/27 or 9/10
§ Student Rec Center 530-700
§ Please wear tennis shoes or hiking boots, comfortable clothes and any caving gear you would like to bring of your own
o Potential date to work a Football game on November 3, 2012

o We’d like to thank John Harmon for the Hellhole presentation at this week’s meeting.

- Dues are due at beginners weekend
