Cave blisters may somewhat resemble balloons in appearance and genesis, but are more common, and tend to be formed out of a larger variety of crystalline minerals. They are rounded deposits often filled with sediments or a mineral different than that forming its walls. They appear to result from solutions forced out of small cracks or holes under capillary pressure.
