Observations on the Mating
Behavior of the Gray Bat of the Eastern Pipistrelle in Northwestern Florida
David S. Lee
Abstract
Field studies of fall mating of Myotis grisescens and of Pipistrellus subflavus in northwestern Florida are described and discussed. Observations include time, season, location, and behavior of reproductive activity. The comlete reproductive sequence was not witnessed for either species, but observed activity appears similar to that reported for other vespertillionid bats.
