Extinct Florida Spectacled
Bear Tremarctos floridanus (Gidley) from Central Tennessee

Abstract
An isolated skelteon of the extinct Florida spectacled bear, Tremarctos floridanus (Gidley), was found in Grassy Cove Saltpeter Cave, Tennessee. This is the first record of this species from the state of Tennessee, extending its range north and west from Florida and Georgia.
