Illinois Speleological Survey Shawnee National Forest project August 2004 One group set out to try to ridge walk an area with sinkholes marked on a topo. Heat, bugs, thick brush and threat of severe storms put an early end to the day. We did pick paw-paws and spent the hottest part of the day swimming in a local creek.
