| Straw Hat This is the convention hat/helmet was from the vice chair of the 2007 NSS Convention to the vice chair of the 2008 NSS Convention. It is unknown what year this tradition began. Hats/ helmets are decorated in a manor that reflects the state or region it is being held in. Often these helmets are gaudy and humerous |
