Meeting Minutes 4/11/2012

Meeting started by Chairman Jeremy Browning at 8:00

Treasurers Report:

- We have $749.89 in the bank

- The bank claimed they never got our request for a check card

- Jeremy will check around for a better bank

Old Business:

- Jeremy will go down to Karst Sports to pick up the gear.

- Convention costs $80 for students and if money is an issue contact Nichole and she will figure something out in order to get the proper funding.

- Jeremy found out about recycling at OTR and Ben emailed us about recycling at Convention. Jeremy contacted some folks about the recycling containers and no price has been set yet. Man power will be needed!

- Jeremy received the redesigned version of the logo and everyone liked it and there will be no more changes made. Jeremy will figure out something for bumper stickers, etc.

New Business: 

- Nominations were held and Andrew stepped up for Chairman, Stephany was nominated, Brady remained Treasurer for simplicity, Ginny was nominated. 

- Voting will be held in 2 weeks.

- Still house trip is on schedule for next weekend. We will camp Friday night then on Saturday we'll do Still house and Sinks of Gandy then camp Saturday night and maybe bounce Shreve howl pit. Mon grotto also has their adopt the highway cleanup that day which can count for community service for club sports.

- We plan to advertise in the DA but those who want to go MUST be present at the meeting on Wednesday (4-18-2012).

- Allen Peterson (the first WVUSG Chairman) will be in Morgantown the week of May 15th. He discovered Druid in the Cheat Canyon and Dave plans to take him down to show him what other discoveries have been made since then. If anyone wants to go let Dave Riggs know.

Trip Reports:

- Dave Riggs gave a exquisite presentation on Lechuguilla. If you didnt see it you really missed out! Thanks for taking the time to share your trip Dave!!

Important Dates:

- April 20-22nd Randolph County trip

- April 27-29: Spring VAR

- June 25-29: NSS convention

- June 26: Student Reception

- July 31: TRA applications due

- August 30 - September 1: OTR
