Meeting Minutes Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Meeting called to order 8:15pm

Treasurers report

-Same as last week's minutes.  Current Balance $756.44.

Vertical practice

-Six people showed up at Mont Chteau today. Jeremy, Brady, Ginny, Andrew, Dave, and Nicole all got on rope. We setup two ropes to rappel.

-Vertical Practices will still be held at request.

Old Business

-We are still waiting on a response for the grant from SGA on the grant approval.

-Terra incognito still a work in progress. A request was put in to have some of the articles posted in The   WV Caver.

-Jeremy still has not received any changes to the modified logo.

-The dates have been fixed on the WVU calendar.

-The Pendleton county trip changed to Randolph county trip and to stop at Garth Dixon's for Pre-caving or Post Caving festivities.

-Simmons Mingo trip is still on for this weekend. 

New Business:

-Student Reception is the Tuesday of the NSS Convention. June 26^th.

-TRA memberships are due July 31^st Please submit early because your application will probably be denied at least once.

-A Rancho Relaxo II has been tentatively planned for some time in May after the end of the semester. A date has not yet been determined.

-Movie meeting has been pushed back to next weeks meeting.

Trip Reports:

Jeremy went down to WVACS over the weekend and did a surface dig with Ben Mirabile.

Important Dates:

- March 17-19: Simmons Mingo Trip

- March 24-26: TAG trip scheduled. Details are still being worked out.

- March 30 – April 1: Beginner level orientation to cave rescue in Harrisonburg, Va at EMU

- April 20-22: Randolph County trip

- April 27-29 Spring VAR

- June 25-29: NSS convention

- June 26: Student Reception

- August 30 –September 1: OTR
