Current news: 

Student Org Fair Friday 8-20 from 5:00pm-7:30pm; Carly , Kyle , Rachel, Katie, 
Abby, and Allen will be there
-Kyle will bring vertical gear to display at the Fair
-Someone with a laptop can leave the Facebook Group up for people to join; 
there will be no power outlets, so try to utilize battery life as best as 
possible
-Jeremy Browning will print large posters 

Grotto t-shirts are available for $12!! 

Plans for the semester:

Working football games
-1 or 2 games will raise enough money for the year


Vertical practice:
-John Tudek wants an "Ad hoc committee" of experienced vertical cavers to train 
a new group of vertical cavers
-Dave, Kyle , Rachel, and Abby have volunteered to be on it
-Proposed grotto-funded membership access to Student Rec center for Dave or 
John Harmon

Videos/Presentations
-John Tudek proposed borrowing DVDs from NSS to watch at meetings
-John Harmon would like to give a presentation during the second meeting of the 
semester (in two weeks)
-Cullen suggested a 5-minute video about Beginners' Weekend 

OTR is approaching!
-John Tudek suggested we buy some guide books there (may require as much as 
$100)

First meeting topics:
-Presentation; Tudek wants to include pictures of what the Grotto actually does
-Beginners' Weekend: Sharp's Cave; Possibly September 11th or 18th


WNS Stance:
-Decon gear after each trip
-No longer limiting caving to inside West Virginia
