Meeting Minutes for 2 December 2009

Meeting called to order by Chairperson Abby Hohn at 8:01p

Financial Report
-Checkbook not brought to the meeting
-There is $158.50 in petty cash
-$318 is still owed to Ben Mirable for the Jerico Cabin
	Abby Hohn will be paying him this weekend
-John Harman was able to have the extra $100 charge from Jerico Cabins     
        reduced to $50Therefore, subtracting John Harman's $10, the 7   
        members that were there owe him $5 each.
	Krista Tindall and Rachel McCormick have already paid.

Old Business
-No news on the library
-The inventory wasn't able to be completed as of yet.
	Abby Hohn will work with Kyle McMillan to get the rest of the 
        gear. If you still have any Grotto gear, please return it to 
        Abby.
-Terra Incognito: No trip reports have been received. If you have   
        volunteered to do a trip report for this semester, remember to 
        get it to Rachel McCormick before January.

New Business
-The Grotto will be headed to Rancho Relaxo this weekend to cave in  
        Scotts Hollow
	Gayle Suppa is the trip leader. Please contact her with  
        questions. Mike Dore has specified that no tennis shoes are to 
        be worn in cave, gear must be deconned, and that liability 
        waivers have to be signed before anyone can enter.
-A Grotto Christmas party is planned for the Friday of Finals Week, 18  
        December 2009. Location to be determined.

Trip Reports
-Allen Dove went to Short Cave twice last week. The entrance was 
        blowing air. He explored through a maze like section, a 
        canyon, and a large, 30ft by 60ft room. There were many leads 
        and branching passages. In the southeast corner, there was a 
        passage with low ceilings and formations. An approximately 
        50ft pit was way in the back.
