Meeting called to order at 8:06 by Chairperson Abby Hohn

FINANCIAL REPORT: $558.72 
-Not including the money from the football game

Jay has sent the email to updated the DA

The Grotto caving policy will be updated on the Grotto's web page

RAPPEL PRACTICE:
-Learning to belay class TBA

GROTTO LIBRARY:
-John T. emailed the current holders of the Grotto library. No response
- John T. is also working on allocating the bulletins

TERRA INCOGNITO:
-Rachel will be editor
-Send trip reports to Rachel (I will have an email address for you next week)
-Jeremy will do a trip report for the Via Ferrata

BRIDGE DAY:	
-Rappellers are leaving Friday (they have a safety brief)
-If you are arriving on Saturday arrive prior to 0600 (before the bridge is closed) or be prepared to walk a    good distance.

GRANT:
-Cost of full tent kit has made us change our plans. (10x20)
-Kyle is sending Gayle and Abby prior grants so they can take of the grant


NEW BUISNESS

-Before next meeting there will be vertical practice at Army Rock
	Meeting time is 4:30pm
Abby will send email next week with info.

Surveying
-Crash course on cave surveying
	Sunday Oct. 25th  there will be a beginners survey trip to Beaver hole
	Meet time is 3:00pm

Riches Fright Farm
-Oct. 28th (We will not have a meeting that night), time is TBA
Gayle will contact owner for permission to another night corn maze

Grotto Halloween party
-Abby's House
	Time is TBA
Yoakum Cabins
-The Grotto will be doing a trip to Yoakum Nov. 7th
There will be vertical and horizontal cave trips

-Dec. 5th (Weekend after Thanksgiving) We will be making a trip out to Rancho Relaxo

Wilderness First Aid
-Dave will contact Marge to see if she will set up a class for us [Ed: MARG]

-Dr. Roush gave us an update on WNS
He will also request a guest speaker for one of our meetings


TRIP REPORTS:
-Abby went to Scott Hollow last weekend with University of Akron [Ed: Gayle Suppa went to Scott Hollow, not Abby Hohn]
They were collecting water samples and researching water flow, and scallops

-Jeremy, Abby, and others went to Stillhouse and Sinks of Gandy.
It was a through trip. 
The groups stayed at the field house due to a tornado warning. 

-The group above along with some others who drove up on Sunday did the Via Ferrata. 
Erin gave the trip report stating it was a lot of fun. Pictures are up on their facebooks.
