Meeting Minutes 8/9/2009

*FINANCIAL REPORT:* $399.37 Total

*FUNDRAISING:*
Colorado Football Game Oct 1st (Thursday)
We must let them know 3-5 days before game.
Rally time is a couple hours before kickoff.
More details closer to game.

*WNS STATEMENT: *
Needs to be reduced-Gayle will do so if file is sent to her.
Post to Grotto website with Decon link.

*WV CAVER:*
Bill was not paid at OTR.
Tom Lilly will contact Mike Bodkin to get amount and to change the address
our bill comes to.

*BEAVERHOLE TRIP:*
Beginner-level trip. All are welcome.
Sunday, *Sept  13th*.
Meet downtown in *LOT 2*  across from Brooks Hall at *2 pm *for rides.
If you did not recieve required equipment list, send request to listserve
and file can be emailed.

*BEGINNER'S WEEKEND:*
Friday, *Sept 18th.*
$10 for weekend or $20 for weekend and membership.
Meet around 5 or 6 pm in Coliseum parking lot *closest to Arboretum*.
*Come to meeting next week to arrange rides and other leaving times.
We plan to do Sharp's Cave on Saturday.
Burger's and hotdogs provided Saturday Night.
*Jay and others should go to Sam's Club for food and batteries.
Survival Guide prepared by John Harman was passed around.

*VERTICAL PRACTICE:*
Will be every *Wednesday,* *5 PM at Rec Center Climbing Wall*.
Three new people showed up!
Gayle Will get poster printed out to display at Vertical Practice.

*GEAR GIVEAWAY AT MEETING:*
John Harman gave his used gear to beginners provided they answered trivia
questions.
We are considering doing this at Beginner's weekend maybe with new gear.
