Waiting on the post-YTR count. We're down a few bucks from YTR Jason Thomas and Ben Mirable owe us some money for YTR! ($5- each) *YTR RECAP *- Fifteen people went to VAR. It was excellent and a good time was had by all. We camped out at Bubble Cave with a big fire. We visited Higgenbotham's #4, and two of the caves on the Bubble property and discovered why Bubble Cave was called Bubble Cave. We had a surprise visit from the NSS President-elect, Gordon Birkheimer. Mr. Birkheimer then helped us finish up the evening right :) Morgantown Film Festival - Brian Masney won the Adventure Sports Category with his 'Hellhole Cave' photo! This marks the 46th consecutive year Brian has won. * * * OFFICER ELECTIONS -* Were held tonight. The results are as follows: Chairperson: Kyle McMillian Vice Chairperson: Tom Lilly Secretary: Abby Hohn Treasurer: Gayle Suppa Editor: John Tudek *New Lights*- Remember we still want to buy these lights. $250- for as many as we can get. Dave Riggs and Brian Masney will look into purchasing this. *Grotto Quartermastzar* - Dave will be the Gear Quartermastzar for the summer months! *Upcoming Trips - * *Oil Drum Falls / End of the Year Trip *- Contact Dave Riggs if interested. NEW BUSINESS Dave Riggs reminds you that you must return all grotto gear you have by next meeting if not sooner. If not, the automatic detonators will activate!!! Spring MAR - (May 16-18) John Harman talked to Commander Cody Grotto who is hosting the Spring MAR about some low-impact caving in Mon-Preston-Tucker County. I'll wait for the laughter to die down. Brian Masney and Mary Schmidt surveyed 130' in Windy Slope Cave on Friday, then they were joined by Dave Riggs and Abby Hohn in WSC on Saturday, where they surveyed another 90' and broke into going virgin passage with formations. Windy Slope Cave, which was dug open one year ago, is now over 1400' long and quickly approaching Hero Hole and downstream Druid Cave!
