Everyone please take a look at it. The deadline for recommendations is Feb 11th so it can be submitted next week. Since we don't see anything glaring, we'll put it in as is. Thanks Kyle!! Grotto Gear Locker: No change. Vertical Rodeo: No update. Looking for a new place to do vertical practice: We're still looking. John H. will get in touch with the people regarding the use at Stansbury. YTR Update: No update. I'm going down to Greenbrier this weekend, so there may be an update for next week. Maiden Run Survery: There will be a survey trip into Maiden Run on Tuesday 2-12 and again on Thursday 2-21. We will meet at the parking lot across from Hodges Hall. Let John H. know if you plan on attending. Germany Valley / Beginning Level Vertical: We got the OK to stay at the GVKS field house for our trip on Feb 23-24. Mattresses! Couches! Refrigerators. Slightly better than a Sunnyside apartment (slightly worse than a dry, sandy passage). Further detials will be unveiled as we get closer to the date. So far we're looking at at least 10 people will be attending. Trip possiblilites are Harper Pit - the whole cave!, Cave Mountain Cave, Trout Rock Caves, Mystic (again) and Ruddle Cave. We may also consider using up some of the grotto burgers and have a dinner on Sat night. Dad-Stonnaker: Still trying to put together a trip to Upper Beaverhole on 2-10. There are about 8-10 people willing to go. The big problem is that they need rides! So if you are willing to give rides (and have a high-clearance 4WD vehicle, let Tom Lily know). -- New Business -- SPRING VAR / SERA - sometime at the end of June. Bat Fungus in the Northeast: John Tudek gave a summary of the recent NEXT WEEK WE WILL hopefully HAVE A PRESENTATION ABOUT THE WHITE NOSE FUNGUS FROM A BAT BIOLOGIST. Vertical Practice: 5pm tomorrow. Weeknight Bowden Trip: Possibly in March to go do the Agony. -- Trip Reoprts -- Football Caves: On Friday Feb 1st, a large contingent of the student grotto went to the Cheat Canyon. Kyle, Nicole, Shelia and Amanda went to Beaverhole Upper. They had a good time. Dave R, Dave M. John H, Gayle and Tom and Rich Finley went to the football caves, got a little surveying done and found a 'fro. We propose the SI measuremnt of 1 Finley to decribe the length of the cave. Meeting adjourned at 8:18 to the Brew Pub.
