*WVUSG Meeting Agenda **November 28, 2007*

The meeting was called to order by chairperson John Harman at 8:05pm.

*Old Business*

- Financial Report: We now have $881.93 in the bank (including the  $200-
estimate from the football game).

- Basketball game fundraising (John H.): We're looking into working
Basketball games now that the WVU home football season is drawing to a
close.

- Student grant (Kyle / Dave): No report - we want to put that at the top of
the agenda for the spring semester.

- Grotto Gear Locker (John C. / John H.): John H. has yet to purchase the
rubbermaid containers. It'll be done in the near future.

- Vertical Rodeo (Rich F.): This will be talked about again in January. A
specific date will be determined in the future. There was talk about having
it in the Spring (when it is warmer) and outside; in the Rec Center or in
the Stansbury gymnasium.

Upcoming Trips*

- Scott Hollow (Rich F.): We're going to put the Scott Hollow trip on hiatus
until at least next semester (because of a combination of the Pitt game and
finals). So, no trip this weekend. However, we seriously encourage you to
join the NSS so you can go to Scott Hollow in future at either the Associate
Level or the Basic Level. See the link below:

- X-mas party: At Rich's place on Saturday, Dec 15th, tentatively around
6pm. There will be an "Chinese Christmas gift exchange" (essentially a
competitive grab bag gift). Tasteful gifts, please (though they can be funny
as well). The dollar limit for the gift exchange will be $10-.  Bring eats
and drinks to share!

Maiden Run Trip: There will be a Maiden Run trip on Tuesday, December 4th at
6pm at the Sabreton Sheets parking lot. Anyone needing a ride should contact
John Harman at jharman2@mix.wvu.edu

- New Business

**Upcoming meetings: The last meeting of the semester will be next week. The
week after there will be a grotto bar trip. **

John Harman will call George Dasher to correct the meeting locations and the
current officers.

Rich Finley excavated the Student Grotto flag from the 1970s(ish) and
presented it at the meeting.

- Trip Reports*

Cheat Canyon: John H, Brian M, and Dave R. did consecutive weekends into the
Cheat canyon, finding new caves and extending old ones and hitting both
banks of the Cheat Canyon. Some surveying was done and John showed us an
excellent map at the meeting.

There was a vertical practice tonight as well.

Meeting adjourned at 8:54 pm.
