Subject: [wvusg] Minutes from 9/28 meeting

For those of you that paid your grotto dues and haven't filled in any
paperwork, we have an urgent request: send an email with your name,
address, and status (student/non student) to Nancy (our treasurer) at
'nldorset@yahoo.com'.  One of the benefits of being a grotto memeber
is a subscription to the WV caver, and we need to get the names on the
mailing list ASAP.

Our list of upcoming events follows:

Friday Sept 30:  Camping/Rappelling out at Cheat View.  We'll be
carpooling from the Rec Center again.  Meet by the snack bar at 5:30.
 It is an hour long hike to the climbing area from where we park the
cars, so come prepared for a little walk and bring warm clothes, it
should be a little chilly.

Thursday Oct 6:  A tentative Cheat View excursion, details TBA

Saturday, Oct 15:  Bridge Day at the New River Gorge Bridge.  We have
a team of approx 12 people dropping off the bridge, and it's a good
time even for those of us that watch.  Details TBA

Saturday Oct 22:  A two-for-one deal; rather, one of the two.  JMU is
holding a little get-together down at the Bat Ranch in Blacksburg, the
WVUSG is invited.  However, Jeff Bray is holding his annual Halloween
Party that Saturday night as well.  Details TBA.

As you can see, most of our upcoming events are still up in the air as
far as transportation and all the other details.  All of those loose
ends are determined at the meetings, so please come and donate your
two cents.  We look forward to seeing you.
