Subject: [wvusg] Minutes from 9/7 Meeting

The following actitvities and dates were set:

The Tucker County trip for this weekend was cancelled due to no
leaders being available.

The meeting on 9/14 has been replaced by an activity night: Meet at
5:30 PM by the TV and snackbar to carpool out to Cooper's Rocks and
rappel.

Beginner's Weekend will be held the 16-18.  Meet at 6:00PM on Friday
by the TV and snackbar of the Rec Center for the carpool.  The trip
will be to Stuart Recreation Area, with a trip to Bowden Cave and
possibly Sinks of Ghandi.  Bathrooms are provided on-site, but you'll
have to bring camping gear.  If you don't have gear, check out the
Outdoor Rec Center.  They have pretty good deals.  Plus, some of us
have a few extra items that can be used. Trip costs are as follows:

$10 to pay for the weekend, or...
$20 to pay for Beginner's Weekend as well as the Grotto Membership. 
(Membership fee is $15, so you save $5!)

The meeting on 9/21 is another activity night; looks like a local trip
to Beaver Hole for a little weekday caving.  Meet at 5:30 at the TV
and snackbar of the Rec to carpool.

9/24 - 9/25 is VAR, which is being held in Bath Co, VA.

Please bring your membership fee to the next meeting (9/14). 
Remember, $15 gets you a subscription to the WV caver and access to
the Grotto caving equipment.  If you would like to go on beginner's
weekend, the cost is $10 for the campsite.  And the most attractive
option - pay $20 for both beginner's weekend and the Grotto membership.
