Claustrophobia

By Mike Frazier

Unraveling the mystery's that lay underground.
Your freakin’ me out!
Your freakin’ me out, I'm not goin’ there
I looks way too tight, I don't think there's air
You're freakin’ me out, I’m not going there
Its way too tight for me, I’m claustrophobic, claustrophobic
You may think that its a sickness in my mind
I can see clearly, you may think I’m blind.
Oh there is no light but its clear to see
That I’m claustrophobic. That I’m claustrophobic HAH!
Rocks are falling, you may think I’m chicken little
the sky is falling down on me
You may think I’m a little crazy
but its not to dark to see
I’m claustrophobic, claustrophobic
Its way too tight way too tight let me out of this cave
Way too tight it’s way too tight though I try to be brave
I’m not I’m claustrophobic I’m claustrophobic I’m claustrophobic
I’m quitting

I want out I want out I want out I want out now

I’m claustrophobic
Ok that it I’m done with this caving shit
claustrophobic

Colorado Cavin’

By Mike Frazier

Come out to colorado where the mountains meet the sky.
Where crystal steams flow down like dreams through Canyons deep and wide.
Through caverns dark and Beatiful, A cavers slice of heaven.
Come to Colorado in 2011

(Chorus)
Colorado cavin, Thats what were gonna do
Colorado cavers are right here to welcome you
It's Colorado baby, Might have to crawl just to make it through
Thats what you do when you are Colorado Cavin

First well head up to the flat tops
Then well head down underground
Showing off our flat tops tan as we come out all brown.
Then to the howdy party friend
I hear it starts at seven
Up at Glenwood Caverns 2011

Chorus

Later in the week friend we can head up to lime park.
Spend a couple hours there just checking out whats dark.
Then soak in the hot springs pool
That should get us revin
To cave in Colorado 2011

Chorus

Saltpetre Man
By Dave Collings and Russ Carter

he’s got a pigmy donkey and a cart
to let me know he’s been there he tallies scratchy marks
for dinner he’s resourceful, don’t want to blow his pay
bites the heads off longear bats like ozzie up on stage

he’s climbin’ up that ten foot notched pine pole
grubs are jumpin’ off him like hoppers from a hole
on saturdays he’s on his way to town he’s got his pay
a little drink a little lady and the petre drifts away

nothing could be finer
to be a saltpetre miner
the saltpetre miner of Saltpetre Mountain.

fills up the petre bag to earn his coin
ties it to his pony who hoofs him in the groin
he’s dreamin’ of some whiskey and he’s dreamin’ of some rye
but petre liquor’s quicker if you smoke it when it’s dry.

nothing could be finer
to be a saltpetre miner
the saltpetre miner of Saltpetre Mountain.

at night the dust descends upon the soul
while some are headin’ out he’s headin’ deeper in the hole.
his bed’s a bit of rimstone and his pillow’s hard as life
pulls up a flowstone blanket keeps him covered through the night

nothing could be finer
to be a saltpetre miner
the saltpetre miner of Saltpetre Mountain.

nothin’ could be finer
saltpetre miner

Mad Rat Cavers

By Mike Frazier

Welcome to Colorado
Or as we call it, Crawlarathole

A true gentlemen never caves before noon
For my friends sometimes that's too soon
We cave all day and stay up all night
We push real hard when the going gets tight
We're Madrat cavers
We like to go underground
We're Madrat cavers
Where there's so much to be found
We're Madrat cavers
Its got us down on our knees
The caves of crawlarado are our social disease
You'll find us in the mountains where the darkness dwells
A caver's slice of heaven is just another man's hell
You know its all a mystery
The caves of Crawlarado are our social disease
We're Madrat cavers
There's still so much to be found
Mad rat cavers
Hangin underground
We're madrat cavers
We're a lot like the bats
Hanging upside down in darkness baby, that's where its at
We're Madrat cavers

We like to go underground

We're Madrat cavers
There's so much to be found
We're Madrat cavers
Down on our knees
The caves of Crawlarathole are our social disease

A true gentlemen never caves before noon
For my friends sometimes that's too soon
We cave all day and stay up all night
We push real hard when the going gets tight
So please excuse our Misbehavior
were just a bunch of Mad Rat Cavers.

The Ballad of Edd Clampet

by L. Allen Beard

Come and listen to a story about a diver named Edd,
Poor dive bum barely kept his family feed,
Then one day he was swimming up a slough,
When up from the ground came a bubblin’ blue,

Spring water that is, cobalt blue, Florida aquifer.

Well the first thing you know Edd’s divin’ caves on air,
Kinfolk said, “Edd get away from there!”
Said them caves is no place to be,
But he loaded up his truck and moved to Manatee.

County that is. Blue water, limestone caves.

Well now it’s time to say good by to Edd and all his kin.
And they would like to thank you folks for kindly droppin in.
You’re all invited back again to this locality
To have a heapin helpin’ of speleology.

Underwater that is. Dive a spell, take your fins off.

Y’all come back now y’hear?
