What began as a multi-grotto cleanup at Hubbard Cave, brought to our attention by the destruction of a few artifacts, has blown into one of the most comprehensive cave studies in the TAG area.

During the year 2000, TNC and numerous grottos working together managing to complete three additional cave gatings in Tennessee to protect endangered bats, and they were:

Year 2001 was no different in that several other caves were gated (Little Mammoth Cave being one), of which for one reason or another I did not get to attend, except for the gating of Little Bat Cave in Warren County, Tennessee on Labor Day Weekend; August 31, 2001: (57 photos)

Also during the year 2001, a section of the Duck River in Maury County, Tennessee was designated as a Tennessee Scenic River and we helped TNC float this section searching for caves and other features. This 33 mile section of river was floated in four sections and photos of these floats can be seen at:
